We sailed today with a lighter crowd but couldn’t pass up the beautiful weather 🌊☀️ What better way to spend the first day of spring than out on the water! It turned into a steady day with a nice mixed bag of black sea bass, grunts, b-liners, and porgies. Another great day on the water yesterday! 🎣 We had a full boat and the fishing didn’t disappoint. Lots of seabass and grunts coming over the rail along with some other bycatch to keep things interesting. The sea turtles were out in force as well, hanging around the boat throughout the trip. 🐢 Beautiful weather by the afternoon and a great group made for an awesome day offshore. Today was another good day, mixed bag of Vermillion snapper, triggerfish, scup, bluefish, and once again American red snapper and also caught a few gag grouper. The start of the season is going strong 💪 Come join us, we still have plenty of availability! Don't just visit the coast, FISH IT!

Captain Tyler ran a little further today and it paid off, caught tons of American Red Snapper (that were released), black seabass, porgies, bluefish, jacks and Vermillion snapper. We still have availability for Tuesdays full day trip as long as the weather allows!!

First trip out was a slower day then we would have liked with some anglers doing better than others. We did see some grouper that were released unharmed but we will be fishing for them soon. We were greeted by a few sea turtles, porpoise and other sea life welcoming us on our first day out. We are looking forward to going back out tomorrow! Jessica handles the land side of the business, answering phone calls, emails, and managing social media to make sure everything runs smoothly before and after you step on board. We’re incredibly grateful to be raising our family in such a special place and love that our young son is growing up around the docks, boats, and the fishing community. Our hope is to continue this way of life for generations to come. At Carolina Princess, we strive to maintain an experienced crew, a laid-back atmosphere, and a truly welcoming environment. ⚓Welcome Aboard!!⚓ The Carolina Princess is a 55’ fiberglass Yank Marine built for comfort and a smooth ride on the water. She can carry up to 49 passengers and cruises comfortably at 11 knots. While there is no galley onboard, anglers are welcome to bring their own food and personal alcohol (please note, no hard liquor). The boat features three booth-style tables along with a large bench that seats multiple passengers, offering plenty of room to relax between bites. For anglers, there are 42 well-spaced rod holders plus additional overhead rod storage in the stern for extra gear. A microwave is available if needed, and the boat is known for her smooth, steady ride — making for an enjoyable day on the water for everyone.

‼ Meet Captain Tyler 🎣🐟 Captain Tyler grew up on the water, learning the trade early by digging clams alongside his father. Raised in the party boat industry, his family owns and operates the Miss Montauk in Montauk, NY, which laid the foundation for a lifelong career on the sea. Before building the Simple Life at just 19 years old, Tyler gained hands-on experience across various fisheries — clamming, scalloping, long lining, dragging, and gill netting. He successfully ran Simple Life Charters from 2018 through 2025, then spent the winter of 2025 learning the fisheries of the Morehead City area. In 2026, he was grateful for the opportunity to take over the Carolina Princess business. While he enjoys all types of fisheries, nothing compares to the joy of creating lasting memories for his customers out on the water.

With the new year coming up it’s about time we make a post, Simple life charters will no longer be sailing from Montauk, New york. My wife Jessica Quaresimo and I have made the decision to move full time to Morehead city in North Carolina due to the tough environment around New York and its fisheries, as sad as we are to leave the life we have made for ourselves we are beyond excited for what the future holds for our family in our new home. After much thought we have also decided to take over the Carolina Princess business which Leroy Gould and his family have been amazing helping guide us through the ins and outs of the business, insuring that we will continue the name of the Carolina Princess with respect. We purchased a smaller vessel (55’ yank) to move forward with this decision and will be limiting the crowds to allow for comfortable fishing. This move is being done by Simple life NOT the Miss Montauk, as much as I will appreciate/ rely on my family’s help and they may make guest appearances they are staying in Montauk full time. We are looking forward to seeing some long time customers and friends if they ever want to come down and catch some different species in some warmer weather. Merry Christmas and happy new year! 🎄🎁🎊
